Widely used in diagnostic tests, conventional cell culture and molecular biology techniques|Designed to maintain the viability and the virulence of the viral sample|A specialy designed transport system to collect and transport viruses in an active form to the laboratory for isolation
Accurex Viral Transport Kit is made of Hank's balanced salt solution and contains a protective protein, antibiotics to control microbial and fungal contamination and buffers to control the pH. The medium also contains a cryoprotectant which helps in preserving the viruses if specimens a frozen for prolonged storage. The flocked polyester swab (nasopharyngeal swab has a short perpendicular ultra-facile plastic shaft that is designed for better patient comfort. This plastic shalt is attached with soft polyester strands that result in efficient collection and release of particulate matter. It yields significantly more samples which help in maximizing the sensitivity of serological and molecular detection assays.Uses:It is a specialy designed transport system to collect and transport viruses in an active form to the laboratory for isolation. It is designed to maintain the viability and the virulence of the viral sample.Product Specifications and Features: It is widely used in diagnostic tests, conventional cell culture and molecular biology techniques It is a specially designed transport system to collect and transport viruses in an active form to the laboratory for isolation It is designed to maintain the viability and the virulence of the viral sample Directions For Use: Ask the patient to blow their nose to clear nasal passage of excessive mucus. Have the person dispose of the used tissue in a waste receptacle Tilt the patient's head back at 70 degrees. It may be helpful to have the patient rest their head against a wall or hard surface Insert the swab into the nostril. (Swab should reach depth equal to the distance from nostril to auter opening of the car) Leave in place for 5-10 seconds to absorb secretions slowly remove swab while rotating Place the tip of the swab into a sterile viral transparent media tube and snap/out off the applicator stick. Ensure the lid is tightly closed Place specimen container in a biohazard transcort bag It is widely used in diagnostic tests, conventional cell culture and molecular biology techniques Safety Information: Isolation of viruses will largely depend on proper specimen collection, the timing of sample collection and processing of samples Do not use the product it There is a change in the colour of the medium There is evidence of leakage There are other signs of deterioration It is recommended to refer to standard procedures and published protocols for sample collection and processing
