Accutest Hcg Kit is designed for the rapid determination of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine to assist in the detection of pregnancy. Human chorionic gonadotropin(hCG) is a glycoprotein hormone produced in pregnancy that is made by the developing embryo after conception and later by the syncytiotrophoblast. In normal pregnancy, hCG can be detected in urine as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. hCG levels continue to rise very rapidly, usually exceeding 100 mIU/mL by the first missed menstrual period, and peaking in the 100,000-200,000 mIU/mL range about 10-12 weeks into pregnancy. Early pregnancy testing, in general, is based on the detection or measurement of hCG.Uses: Accutest Hcg Kit may be used for early detection of pregnancyProduct Specifications and Features: For the qualitative detection of hCG in urine specimens Detects hCG concentrations as low as 25 mIU/mL High sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy Easy to use cassette format with one-step procedure Provides results within 5 minutes Accurate results as it gives > 99% sensitivity Built-in procedural control Contents: Instructions for use, Pregnancy Test pouches each containing a cassette, dropper, and desiccant. The desiccant is for storage purposes only and is not used in the test procedures Directions For Use:Collection and Storage of SpecimensAny urine specimen is appropriate for pregnancy testing but the first morning urine specimen is optimal because of its highest concentration of HCG.
